a note from the internship student ( 13th Dec 2010-1st April 2011)

I came as a stranger and today it will be an honor for me to leave as a family. I have been experiencing such remarkable and interesting journey throughout the 16 weeks of my internship period here as apart of the PR Division team. PR Division of Malaysia Airports has been a place which taught me quite a few things and had sharpened me intellectually. I'd ever be indebted to this company and each of you with whom I interacted in at various times.

With the aid of your encouragement and support, I not only performed my best, but also learned so many new things. I will like all of you to know that I thank and appreciate the affection and camaraderie that you all have shown to me.
Each one of you are those people that are not only dedicated to work, has high standards, always on top of things and there is no doubt that whatever job you've done, you've preserved order , and calmness over confusion. You guys really know your work.
I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your guidance and supervision in this 4 months during my internship experience with Malaysia Airports (Sepang) Sdn Bhd. Your leadership throughout the training assisted me in further development of my writing and communications skills as well as my ability to implement individual projects and function as a leading contributor on various team projects within the company.

Kak Wan,
You are a great leader and I am greatly thankful I had you as my supervisor! Thanks for all those treats and errrr… the upcoming A’s I’m going to get! aminnnnnnnnn!

Kak Zaidah,
It has been an amazing experience having you as my private tuition teacher! I learned a lot from you. If education is your ‘thing’ you will do it with flying colors! Ohh…and you young lady, are one camera freak! Going to miss you, your camera and there… your belly! Haha!

For the rest of the PR team I am so sorry that I didn’t have much time to spend with you but one thing for sure, you will always be remembered!

A Day with the Wonderful Kids~

(pic credit: http://xn----ymcbabz7a4c4e5ae.com/ScreenShots-6-kids.html)

Greetings, readers!

How are you doing? We hope all of you are fine today.

Us? All of us are in the pink of health and... as usual.. everyday we're trying very hard to improve ourselves and make sure our jobs are successfully done. Being in the PR field requires us to have good interpersonal communication skill as we have to deal with various types of people. For example, when it comes to visitations, recce, events, etc. at KLIA, we need to accomodate all of our guests from different range of people, international or local institutions, big organizations to pre- school students! All of them are important stakeholders to us.

Anyways, today we would like to share with you our story. On 29th July 2010, the PR Division had done a CSR activity. We received guests from SK Alam Megah (3), Shah Alam to visit at KLIA. Well, it sounds like a normal visit, so what is so special about this one? why is it called as a CSR activity?

The students who came for this visit are the students from Pendidikan Khas Bermasalah Pembelajaran class. According to the teachers, all of these wonderful kids have different types of problems, such as down sindrome, autisme, slow learner, disleksia and etc. and as this visit was part of our CSR activities, we did not charge them at all. There were 37 of them all together with 10 teachers.

At first, we were afraid that we could not accommodate them as good as their teachers and families did. Surprisingly, all of them were very good and it was very easy for us to do our work which was taking them touring in KLIA. They made it easy for us.

They were excited when we took them to have a ride in the Aerotrain to go to the Satellite building.

They were also mesmerized by different types of international planes which were at the parking bays at the Satellite building as they could see them from a short distance.

The visit lasted for about 2 hours. All the students began to feel tired and hungry since it was the time for their lunch.

Before the visit ended, the teacher gave us souvenirs.

It's the students' hand-made certificate frame!

and also hand- made pencil cases and key- chains.. =)

We also have souvenirs for them!

We managed to take a few photos with them.

Well, that's all for now. We are looking forward to have more CSR activities next time.

All of us enjoyed the activity so much. Well, it is not the important part. It's the students' happiness that counts.. =
